O’BRIEN, Fla. — A woman is recovering at a Gainesville hospital after being shot in the head Tuesday evening in southern Suwannee County.

Suwannee County Sheriff Sam St. John said the shooting occurred around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The investigation is still ongoing into the incident.

“We’re just trying to figure out what happened,” St. John said. “There’s some conflicts of some stories and we’re trying to get everything deciphered out.”
