Moultrie Sharks swimmers place second in Thomasville

THOMASVILLE – With the District swimming competition days away – this Saturday in Tifton – the Moultrie Sharks got in one more meet and one more second-place team finish last weekend. This was at the GRPA Summer Invitational hosted by the Thomasville YMCA.
The Sharks had the best results among male swimmers with 311 points, edging out the host Thomasville YMCA by seven. The hosts were the top team with 826 points to 679 for the Sharks. The Tiftarea Tidal Wave placed third at 583.5 and the Valdosta Aquatics fourth at 264.
While Thomasville YMCA had the highest overall total for female swimmers at 312, one girl Shark had a big day in the pool. That was Chloe Tillman, girls 11-12 winner of the 100-yard free (1:06.89); 50-yard free (29.73); 50-yard breast (42.43); 100-yard IM (1:14.61) and 50-yard back (35.07).
