Fraud

• John Rogers, of Pearlie Knight Lane, Doerun, reported June 20 that a woman called saying he had issues with his Social Security number in Texas. She provided him with his date of birth and his address, and he confirmed the last four digits of his Social Security number for her. • Robert Ansley Chandler, 700 block E. Union Drive, Doerun, told deputies June 20 that he received a call from First Franklin Financial that he was late on a payment for a loan he took out in April. Chandler said he had not applied for a loan in April. The loan amounted to $939 with an annual rate of 35.93 percent. First Franklin had the check where it had been endorsed, but he said the signature was not his and the Social Security number on the check was wrong.
