Llamas graduated from Colquitt County High School in 2018. He is the oldest of the siblings and he has always dreamed of being a college student. His family helped him and always influenced him to succeed and make his dream come true.
Llamas is very active in college and maintains an “A” average in spite of his extenuating hardships and circumstances of a job and community activities.
Currently he is VP of Lambda Sigma Upsilon, ABAC STEM, ABAC Circle K, ABAC History and Government Club, member of SGISN and board member for Fiesta del Pueblo Committee.
The MGC Scholarship was endowed to ABAC in 2004 to honor Cervantes who had been an educator in Mexico, but was never able to work as a teacher in the U.S. The funds came from donations from a retired priest, friends of the Cervantes family and from people in the Omega and Tifton Communities.
La Fiesta feeds the endowment each year with the fees paid by vendors in the festival.
