M-CCPRA tennis classes third session

The third two-week session of tennis classes sponsored by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority begins Monday, June 24. Times are 8:30 a.m. for 4-7 year old beginners; 9 a.m. for beginnings 12 & under and 10 a.m. for 18 & under intermediate and advanced. Grant Chapel AME to remember S. Carolina ‘9’

Grant Chapel AME Church located at 318 W. Central Ave. in Moultrie will hold a service in honor of the South Carolina “9” on Sunday, June 23, at 4 p.m. The theme is “Power to Stand” and guests are Tamisha Kimble with music by the Blakely Mass Choir.

This service is in memory of the nine victims of the church shooting at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C., on June 17, 2015.

Grant Chapel AME’s pastor is G. Anthony Flowers and co-pastor is M. DiAnne Flowers.

Packer baseball camp

The Colquitt County High Packer baseball camp for rising 3rd-6th graders is July 15-17 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Packer Park. The fee is $50 and is paid the first day of camp. Bring bats, gloves, cleats and tennis shoes.
