MOULTRIE, Ga. — William Bryant High School Class of 1969 celebrated their 50-year reunion May 31-June 2, 2019. The reunion activities began with a meet and greet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Brown. After much fun, food and fellowship, the highlight of the evening was the priceless memories captured through several photo ops that included a class picture.

On Saturday, a banquet was held on the hallowed grounds of William Bryant High School, which was closed 49 years ago.The event was held at the W.F. Ryce Center.

Honored guest attending was former algebra teacher A.K. Daniels. Class President Dale Williams was the keynote speaker. Evergreen Sheffield Michaux introduced the speaker. Patricia Daniels Lee presided over a candle lighting ceremony and moment of silence for the 41 deceased classmates.

Otis Brown, Jackie Johnson Hill, Curtis Daniels, and Mary Williford Peterson took the class on a hilarious journey down memory lane. Charlie Lee and Otis Brown performed a stirring rendition of gospel and hit songs from the ’60s. James Wilcox introduced the classmates followed by a rousing champagne toast.

Lillie Little presented President Dale Williams and wife, Avanell, and Treasurer Julius Brown and wife, Aloumia, with lemon trees to plant as constant reminders of the fiftieth year reunion. All classmates were asked to plant a fruit tree in memory of the occasion and William Bryant High.

On Sunday, the class attended church service at New Jerusalem Baptist Church as guest of classmate and deacon Earl Hall.
