MOULTRIE, Ga. — The City of Moultrie Fire Department recently completed its month-long “Give Burns the Boot” fundraiser, raising a total of $4,427.70.

“Give Burns the Boot” is an annual, statewide fundraiser held on behalf of the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. More than 100 fire departments joined together to collect donations to support the organization.

“We are thankful for the support of our community and helping us raise money for such an important cause,” said Mitchell Williams with Moultrie Fire Department.

All money raised will go directly to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation which helps fund educational and fire-prevention programs as well as several camps.
