The Monday morning shooting crime scene was blocked off while police investigated and collected evidence.

TIFTON — The Tifton Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on May 20 at an apartment complex located in the 1600 block of Park Avenue North.  

According to Detective Jacob Teter, there was one female victim who is currently being treated for injuries.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The TPD is currently investigating the cause of the shooting.
