Another highlight of the week was receiving the hospital’s 10th “A” in a patient safety report.

MOULTRIE, Ga. – Colquitt Regional Medical Center celebrated National Hospital Week from May 13-17. To mark the occasion, the administration held events throughout the week to help celebrate their employees.

“National Hospital Week is all about celebrating our exceptional staff members,” said Colquitt Regional CEO Jim Matney. “The effort and dedication given by each and every person in our organization is extraordinary. Our successes wouldn’t be possible without our staff.”

Employees were treated to “Good Morning Monday,” a breakfast served by the administrative team; “Taco Tuesday,” a taco bar for lunch; “Wellness Wednesday,” a day fully devoted to exercise and relay games; and “Thank You Thursday,” consisting of Snow Cones for all of the employees who contribute to the Colquitt Regional Medical Foundation. They wrapped up the week with “Food Truck Friday” featuring a variety of local food trucks serving up lunch options on the front lawn.

To cap off the week, Matney announced that the hospital received its 10th consecutive “A” hospital safety grade from The Leapfrog Group.

“This week has been full of fun and celebration for our wonderful employees who give of themselves every day,” said Hospital Authority Chairman Maureen A. Yearta, Ed.D. “Providing these fun activities during Hospital Week is just a small token of our immense gratitude to our staff for their work.”
