YMCA to host pilates on the Square

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Downtown Moultrie YMCA is launching Pilates on the Square Tuesday, May 14, at 5 p.m.
Each Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. instructor Tina Yarbrough will lead a dynamic group exercise class on the stage in Downtown Moultrie.
Pilates is a core workout that focuses on the abdomen, lower back and hips. These areas are often called the “powerhouse.” Pilates will improve balance, flexibility, muscle conditioning and develop control and endurance in the entire body. Core exercise is also great for improving posture, easing back pain, promoting weight loss and preventing injuries.
The Downtown Y offers indoor group exercise classes as well in the aerobic studio.
