MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Friends of the Moultrie Colquitt County Library opened a used bookstore in April in the newly renovated Moultrie Library.
The store is staffed by volunteers and operates 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 4-7 p.m. on Tuesdays.
The store sells fiction and nonfiction hardbacks and paperbacks, children’s books, books on CD, and DVDs. Some of the materials are items withdrawn from the library collection but the majority of the items are donated.
Hardbacks sell for $1, paperbacks for 50 cents, children’s books for 25 to 50 cents, and DVDs and audiobooks for $1.
The proceeds from the bookstore benefit the library.
Past Friends of the Library projects include renovation of the classroom, software purchases, support for children’s programs, and book and material acquisitions.
Donations can be dropped off at the library during open hours. The bookstore accepts books, DVDs and audiobooks in good condition. Textbooks, cassette tapes, videocassettes and materials in poor condition are not accepted.
For more information about the bookstore or to volunteer contact the library at 985-6540.
