MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation is hosting a “Give Burns the Boot” Boot Drive fundraiser throughout the month of May, and the Moultrie Fire Department will be participating. “Give Burns the Boot” is an annual campaign in which more than 100 fire departments throughout the state collect funds to benefit the organization’s mission and programs. Donations can be made by dropping loose change, cash, and/or checks into one of the boots during the boot drives. The Moultrie Fire Department will hold boot drives 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on May 11, 18 and 25 at Walmart, 641 Veterans Parkway South. Donations can also be turned in at Moultrie Fire Department Station 1, 26 Second Ave. N.E. — behind City Hall. Businesses may make donations in the form of a check and turn them in at MFD Station 1.
