The next day’s activities begin at 10 a.m. with the annual parade followed by events and activities at Peachtree Park, with live music throughout the day. Food vendors will be on hand and there will be rides and activities in the kid’s area.

Lasseter Tractor Co. and Southern Tractor & Outdoors will have products on display.

“Come out and enjoy the fun and festivities,” said Sharon Walters, vice president of Doerun Boosters.

Among the features this year is a raffle sponsored by the Doerun Boosters, which hosts the festival. Prizes include a half-day quail hunt with lunch for four at Southern Woods Plantation, half-day fishing charter for two with Perfect Cast Charters in Port St. Joe, Fla., one-night cabin stay with a bottle of wine at Gin Creek Plantation in Colquitt County and four ultimate day passes to Wild Adventures near Valdosta. Other prizes include a Yeti Hopper cooler from Lasseter Tractor and a custom Rawlings baseball or softball bat.

“All proceeds will go to help with our 40th May Day celebration next year in 2020,” Walters said. “We would like to thank our sponsors and the city of Doerun each year for helping us continue this celebration.”

Raffle tickets are $10 each and will be available at the Doerun Booster tent. There is no admission charge for the festival.
