Third arrest made in McGee murder

LAKE CITY, Fla. — A third suspect in the murder of Steven McGee was arrested outside a Lake City motel early Monday morning.
Cody James Bartosek, a 28-year-old from Lake City, was taken into custody shortly after midnight outside the Super 8 Motel off State Road 47 in Lake City when Columbia County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded based on information from the U.S. Marshals.
According to a CCSO release, Bartosek is the final suspect in the murder of McGee, whose body was found April 8 dumped along a dirt road near Fort White.
Bartosek was arrested on a warrant for premeditated murder, using a firearm in commission of a felony, felon in possession of a firearm, tamper with and destroying evidence and mishandling of human remains.
“We are extremely grateful to the U.S. Marshal Service for their continued assistance,” Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter said in a release. “Our community can breathe a collective sign of relief as all the suspects are in custody and they will now face justice.”
Bartosek is being held in the Columbia County Detention facility without bond.
Also being held without bond are Dashan Ricardo Lewis, 42, and Danielle Katherine Cianelli, 22, who were arrested shortly after midnight Friday.
Lewis, of Lake City, was charged with premeditated first degree murder with firearm discharge, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, possession of controlled substance, unlawful storage – transport of human remains, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a short barreled shotgun.
Cianelli, of O’Brien, was charged with accessory after the fact to premeditated first degree murder with firearm discharge, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, possession of controlled substance and unlawful storage – transport of human remains.
