MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Moultrie teen-ager accused of throwing hot water on her sister during a Sunday clash between the siblings was in jail on Tuesday and the other teen remained in an Augusta hospital.
Ja’Kirah Moore, 17, received scald wounds during the fight, according to Moultrie police. Tykeria Brown Warren, 18, was stabbed in the hand during the confrontation.
Police were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. to their 501 First Ave. S.W. residence.
“Two siblings were involved in a domestic dispute,” Moultrie Police Department Lt. Freddie Williams said. “One sister sustained severe burns to her arms.”
Moore was transported to the Joseph M. Still Burn Centers facility in Augusta. The Observer requested a condition report from the hospital, but had not received a response at presstime.
Warren was charged with aggravated assault and was in Colquitt County Jail.
A Colquitt County Magistrate Court judge set a $4,000 property bond in an initial hearing but Warren had not been released from jail as of Tuesday afternoon.
