MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County student was arrested on Wednesday after a bus driver reported seeing him slap and spit on another student while the victim was changing buses at Stringfellow Elementary School.
The victim told police that the other boy approached him and tried to start a fight, then hit him in the face.
The bus driver reported the incident at about 4 p.m.
The assailant was suspended from C.A. Gray Junior High when the attack occurred and thus was not supposed to be on school property, police said.
He was charged with simple battery and criminal trespass.
He was released to a parent.
In another school-related incident, police seized a counterfeit $20 bill on Wednesday from a student at Colquitt County High School.
