Today (March 12), Governor Kemp signed the Georgia FY19 Supplemental Budget which includes a $350,000 line item in the Georgia Department of Public Health Budget for a state-wide Alzheimer’s Awareness Campaign. Thank you to Governor Brian Kemp, House Appropriations Chair Terry England, Senate Appropriations Chair Jack Hill, House Appropriations Health Sub-Committee Chair Butch Parrish, Senate Appropriations Human Development and Public Health Sub-Committee Chair Renee Unterman, Representative Jesse Petrea, and Representative Ron Stephens for making it possible for Georgians to learn more about risk factors, early warning signs, the need for an early/accurate diagnosis, and where to go for diagnosis, care planning, and access to community resources.
Georgia’s Governor and the General Assembly are addressing the Alzheimer’s as a top priority. Thank you!
Thank you for your leadership and support, Senator Dean Burke and Rep. Sam Watson.
