Man drops off box; deputy finds drugs in it

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County resident thought it odd on Wednesday when a man he didn’t know left a box of clothes in his yard, said people were “after him” and walked away.
Part of the mysterious circumstances, however, may be explained by the methamphetamine found among the items left at the residence in the 100 block of Jones Lane.
Steven Connor told police that the man walked up to his house and dropped the box containing clothing, and he also saw some other items nearby.
When a deputy arrived he saw a clear plastic bag containing a white substance that appeared to be methamphetamine.
