YOUTH ART MONTH

Email newsletter signup

Youth Art Month is observed nationally each March to emphasize the value of art education for children and to encourage public support for quality school art programs. Colquitt County Arts Center is proud to partner each year with the Moultrie Kiwanis Club and the Colquitt County School System to host an annual month-long Youth Art Month Exhibit. Each year Youth Art Month provides a forum for recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences that are not possible in other curriculum subjects. We are excited to celebrate the talents of Colquitt County’s young artists with an exhibit that is open and free to the public through the end of the month.

CASINO NIGHT FUND RAISER

Casino Night is March 22nd at the Colquitt County Arts Center beginning at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $50 each and includes $2,500 of Funny Money and heavy hors d’oevres. She has found an art-rich environment in Florida and feels that the encouragement and friendship of the local artists are a big part of her success. She is an acclaimed mentor and true master teacher. She has been an “art mom” to her students, and many have gone on to become accomplished and award-winning artists themselves. She has conducted over 100 workshops and is in demand as a juror for many exhibitions. Her latest contract is with the Watercolor Art Society-Houston, or WAS-H, for a workshop and judging their upcoming National Show.
