VALDOSTA — A freeze warning remains in effect for Lowndes and surrounding counties Wednesday until 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. 

A freeze warning has now been issued by the NWS from 1 a.m. through 8 a.m. Thursday with low temperatures between 26 and 32 degrees.
