MOULTRIE, Ga. — Love was in the air last month in the C.A. Gray media center.
Students on the school’s reading bowl team wrapped up book recommendations from various genres and wrote a quick teaser on the front of each mystery title. Their peers could choose any book to read.
Participants then filled out a Rate-A-Date form about their “blind date” that included questions like “What was your first impression?” and “What was the most memorable moment of your date?”
Once all of the forms were collected, media specialist Melanie Turner and media clerk Melissa Weathers drew five lucky winners from the pile. These students were treated to lunch sponsored by Tommy Marshall of Moultrie Dairy Queen.
One student wrote this about her date: “The book was amazing and pulled me out of reality while I was reading it. I could feel exactly what the characters were feeling most of the time, and I would recommend it to a friend.”
Winners included Mimi La, Rut Labrada, Elise Babb, Alexandria Lorenzo and Aide Reyes.
