According to multiple media reports, the Griffin-Spalding County Board of Education approved by a 4-0 vote Thursday morning the hiring of Colquitt County High offensive coordinator Jeffrey Hammond as the new head football coach at Spalding High School.

Hammond returned to Colquitt County High as offensive coordinator prior to the 2016 season. He was also on the staff from 2008-2012.
