MACON – Colquitt County High’s Nic Jarvis and Ethan Sellers are in the GHSA 7A traditional wrestling semifinals that take place today at the Macon Centreplex.

On Thursday, Jarvis, the 220-pound senior, crushed Justin Oldknow of Brookwood High by major decision 13-4 in their quarterfinal encounter.

Sellers, the freshman at 113 pounds, pinned Nakoti Coleman of Marietta High ending the second period.

They were two of five Packer wrestlers to reach the quarterfinals. Jeremy Paradice (138) lost his match to Robert Weston of Lassiter by major decision 10-1. Weston has a record of 52-2 this season.

Deonte Edwards (145) lost to Ethan Rickert of West Forsyth 6-2.

Michael Roberts took on 41-6 Kaleb Walley of Rockdale County at 195 pounds, but it was Walley getting the pinfall.
