Omega man arrested after chase through Tift County

TIFTON — An Omega resident was arrested after a chase that began in Tift County on Jan. 9, according to a report from the Tift County Sheriff’s Office.

John William Alderman, 32, of Omega, was arrested by the Department of Motor Carrier Compliance in Enigma following the chase.

He was charged with misdemeanor driving while license is suspended or revoked, expired tag, failure to stop at sign, failure to use signal, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, two counts of passing in a no passing zone, reckless driving, two counts of speeding (90/55 and 91/55) and misdemeanor theft by deception.
