CBC names Edwards Moultrie Market president

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Richard Edwards was named Moultrie Market president in an announcement by Commercial Banking Company Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer Dave Buckridge.

“Richard has many years of experience in banking in the Moultrie market. He has been an asset to us over this last year and will provide the stability and leadership we are looking for in Moultrie for years to come,” said Buckridge.

Edwards formerly worked as city president of The Trust Bank and as vice president at Colony Bank. Cumulatively, he has over 30 years of lending experience throughout South Georgia. He joined the CBCBank team in 2017 as vice president and branch manager of the Moultrie branch.

A graduate of Valdosta State College, Edwards is a Moultrie, Ga. native. Edwards is a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Colquitt County Men’s Choir. He is also an ambassador for the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce, a director on the Colquitt County DFACS Board and the Regional DFACS Board and a member of the Moultrie Kiwanis Club.

Commercial Banking Company was chartered in 1929 as a state bank in Hahira, Ga. The bank quickly earned a reputation as a solid financial institution in the Hahira community and surrounding areas. Expanding into the Moultrie market in 2007, CBCBank also has two branches in Valdosta and a branch in Tifton.
