Fifth graders learn about career options

- Southern Regional Technical College faculty and students tell fifth graders about career possibilities in radiology.
MOULTRIE, Ga. — The 18th Annual Colquitt County Fifth Grade Career Day was held Nov. 15. It was hosted by the Colquitt County Elementary Counselors and Southern Regional Technical College, represented by Leigh Wallace and multiple teachers and students. The event was held at SRTC’s main Moultrie campus.
SRTC provided 25 different stations covering a variety of possible career options. The presenters were classroom educators, as well as SRTC students, who offered hands-on activities relating to their area of study/teaching.
Attending were 742 fifth graders from all elementary schools in Colquitt County. All students participated in nine different rotations allowing them to experience a variety of careers.
