Hometown Holidays parade rescheduled for Dec. 7

TIFTON — The parade portion of the Hometown Holidays celebration has been rescheduled for 6 p.m., Dec. 7, according to a release from Lequrica Gaskins, director of economic development for City of Tifton.
The parade had previously been scheduled for Dec. 1 before being cancelled due to weather forecasts.

Parade check-in will start at 4 p.m. at 3rd Street and Magnolia behind Tractor Supply.
The parade route is staying the same, beginning at 2nd Street and Magnolia, traveling east on 2nd Street down to Main Street, then taking a left and ending at the corner of 8th Street and Love Avenue.
The rest of the Hometown Holidays celebration — rides, entertainment, etc. — — is being “discussed to occur at a later time next year (2019),” according to the release.
