SALE CITY, Ga. — Four students from Heritage Academy in Sale City recently competed in the Deep South Junior Student Convention at Lighthouse Baptist Christian School in Valdosta.
They placed in several events:
• Lynlee Sanders, 4th in Bible bowl and 2nd in washer toss.
• Raevan Edwards: 4th Bible bowl, 3rd checkers, 6th female soccer kick, 2nd female softball throw and 1st female archery.
• Jadon Stamps: 4th Bible bowl, 5th N.T. before and after and 3rd male archery.
• Levi Jordan: 4th Bible bowl, 1st carpet ball, 2nd painting (acrylics) and 2nd male archery.
This is an annual event designed to encourage fellowship among Christian schools in the area and to also foster healthy competition. It prepares them for the upper level (grades 8-12) Regional Student Convention, held in Tifton in the spring. Students who place in that competition may then go on to the International Student Convention at the University of Central Missouri this coming May.
