Tifton man shot early Sunday morning

TIFTON, Ga. — A Tifton man was shot in the butt early Sunday morning, according to a Tifton Police Department report.
Officers responded at 1:49 a.m. on Nov. 25 to an entertainment hall/community center in the 100 block of West 17th Street, according to the report.
The officer found the shooting victim alive with a “gun shot wound on the victims buttock,” the report states.
The man said he did not know who shot him; neither did the man’s fiancé, according to the report.
The fiancé said that the two of them were dancing on the crowded dance floor when she got into a “physical altercation” with another woman, according to the report.
She was bitten during the altercation, she says in the report.
The shooting victim and his fiancé were leaving when he was shot in the butt, the report states.
Emergency Medical Services took the victim to the hospital for treatment, according to the report.
