Police investigate gun incidents; no one hurt

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Moultrie police are investigating two incidents involving guns, neither of which resulted in injuries.
At about 8:15 p.m. Monday police were dispatched to the Paradise apartment complex at 5512 27th St. S.E. to investigate a missing boy.
Police found him and he reported another male had pointed a gun at him at the apartment building, Moultrie Police Department Sgt. Eric Hill said. The juvenile ran from that location to the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Also Monday night, police responded to 826 N. Main St., where police were told someone had fired at the residence.
Additional information about the incident was not immediately available on Tuesday.
Thefts
Sheriff’s Office
• Robert Lee Jr., 200 block Larry Dunn Road, Omega, reported Monday the theft of a Polaris Ranger 900 with snorkel valued at $16,300.
Moultrie Police
• Wal-Mart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., reported Monday that a man detained by store security stole some $11 worth of food items.
Police made an arrest.

• Donna Henson, 800 block Tucker Road, reported Monday the theft of a gold ring with ruby and diamonds valued at $200 from a 2007 Buick LaCrosse.

Moultrie Police
• Ralph Edward Baggett, 64, 315 15th St. S.E., was charged Monday with possession of marijuana.
• William Stokes, 42, was charged Monday with theft by shoplifting.
• Jimmy Germaine Williams, 45, 425 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was charged Monday with driving while license withdrawn and tail light violation.
• Jessica Denise Seawright, 32, 855 Tucker Road, was charged Monday with criminal trespass.
Sheriff’s Office
• Amanda Sherri Watts, 39, 225 Indian Lake Drive, Norman Park, was charged Monday with no insurance and suspended registration plate.
• Talitha Foster Williams, 40, 1438 Green St., Remerton, was charged failure to appear.
• Michele Keith, 54, 931 Rancho Taylor Road, was charged Nov. 14 with possession of methamphetamine.
• Derrick Tyerek Ali Slaughter, 17, 1330 U.S. Hwy. 319 N., Norman Park, was charged Friday with battery.
Slaughter is accused of punching another male several times on a school bus.
• Manuel Morena, 57, 1313 Overlook Drive, was charged Saturday with criminal trespass.
Deputies arrested Morena after Yaimara Guerra reported that he came to her residence in the 300 block of Edwards Street and refused to leave.
Georgia Department of Transportation
• Elvin Barcia, 37, 1780 W. 60th St., Hialeah, Fla., was charged Monday with unsecure load and driving while license withdrawn.

Fraud
Moultrie Police
• Lori Dalton, 59, reported that $300 was missing from her debit card account.
Dalton told police that she left the card at the residence of a male acquaintance in the 400 block of Seventh Avenue Southwest and suspects that he is the person who used the card without her permission.
Property damage
Moultrie Police
• Tyteanna Jones, 100 block Fourth Street Southwest, reported Monday that a male acquaintance broke a window of her residence.
Jones told police that the 18-year-old showed up at about 10:25 p.m. to her residence wanting some clothing he had left there and got angry when she told him to return during the daytime.
Police were called to Jones’ residence the previous night when she reported the same teen-ager had threatened her.
Damage to the window was estimated at less than $500.
Sheriff’s Office
• Boring Glass Co., 638 Industrial Drive, reported Monday that four semi trucks drove through the driveway of the business, causing damage of about $500 to the driveway.
