ABAC jazz concert Nov. 15 in Howard Auditorium

- The ABAC Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Choir will present their fall concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Howard Auditorium.
TIFTON, Ga. — The mellow sounds of jazz will echo across the campus of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on Nov. 15 when the Jazz Combo, the Jazz Ensemble, and the Jazz Choir present their fall concert at 7 p.m. in Howard Auditorium. The concert is open to the public at no charge.
The Jazz Combo kicks off the evening with “Cherokee” and “Tenor Madness.” The Jazz Ensemble and the Jazz Choir combine their talents for “Nice and Easy” and “Moonglow.” The Jazz Ensemble steps into the spotlight with “Blues to Begin With” and a Miles Davis tune called “Four.”
The Jazz Ensemble then reels off “I’m Beginning to See the Light,” “One Note Samba,” “Big Dipper,” and the classic from Joe Bishop and Woody Herman, “Woodchopper’s Ball.” In the grand finale, the Jazz Ensemble and the Jazz Choir wrap up the night with “Sway.”
Scott Phillips directs the Jazz Combo and the Jazz Ensemble, and Susan Kirby Roe directs the Jazz Choir.
