PACKER PLAYOFF GAMES POSTPONED

On Monday, according to Colquitt County High athletic director Greg Tillery, the Packer softball 1st round Class 7A playoff series set to start this week at Packer Park is postponed to a later date. Earlier on Monday, Colquitt County’s games against Cherokee High were moved from Wednesday, Oct. 10, to Tuesday, Oct. 9. The new playoff date is yet to be determined.
Also, the 1-7A volleyball tournament taking place at Colquitt County High School’s Gym, is moved from Tuesday, Oct. 9, to Saturday, Oct. 13.
Match times are 11 a.m. for Tift County versus Colquitt County and 12:30 p.m. for Lowndes versus Camden County.
Admission is $8.
Finally, the Middle School Softball Conference Tournament at Packer Park will take place Saturday Oct. 13.
Times: Game 1 Colquitt versus TBD 10 a.m. Semifinal Game
Game 2 Coffee versus TBD noon Semifinal Game
Game 3 Game 1 winner versus Game 2 winner 2 p.m. Championship Game
