HAHIRA – The City of Hahira kicked off National Art and Humanities Month recently at Hahira Elementary School.
Mayor Bruce Cain presented a proclamation to Principal Iris Mathis. Artist Mindy Reese donated a painting to the school, which is titled “Story Time.”
Students interviewed Reese to learn more about her artistic talents and her inspiration. The city has also scheduled a variety of artists to share their talents with students throughout the month.
Artists will vary from painters, photographers, writers, singers, musicians, dancers, film, architectural design and sewing, organizers said.
