On Tuesday, candidates will visit:

• Downtown Thomasville

• Remington Avenue recreation complex

• Southern Regional Technical College

• Flowers Foods corporate headquarters

• Thomas University

• Archbold Medical Center

• Neighborhoods throughout the city

Other tour possibilities are Red Hills Business Park, Plantation Oaks Industrial Park and Genesis Food Park/Caterpillar.

A community reception will be held Tuesday at the Municipal Building, 144 E. Jackson St., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Anyone wanting to provide feedback or comments to his or her council member is encouraged to do so at the reception or via email or telephone.

Council members will conduct a second round of individual interviews with each candidate Wednesday morning. Council will convene a called session at 8:45 a.m. and go into closed session to conduct the interviews.

The closed session will end with a discussion by the city council with search consultant Renee Narloch regarding final decisions.

The second called meeting — where the city manager choice will be voted on — is at 2 p.m. Wednesday in council chambers. At a council workshop this week, Mayor Greg Hobbs said the council will consider a motion at the meeting to select a city manager.

The called 2 p.m. meeting will be live-streamed on Thomasville.org.

“I think that meeting’s going to last every bit of three minutes,” Hobbs said at the workshop.

Final candidates are J. Alan Carson of Lexington, North Carolina; Ron H. Rabun of Griffin; and Suzanne E. Sherman of Palm Bay, Florida.
