Diving Tiger Geovanni commits to Louisville

MOULTRIE – Moss Farms Diving head coach John Fox told The Moultrie Observer that Diving Tiger Sky Geovanni, an AAU platform national champion this summer, made a verbal commitment this week to the swimming and diving program at the University of Louisville.

“It’s one of the top 25 swimming and diving programs in the country over the past five to six years,” said Fox about Louisville, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Back in July in San Antonio, Geovanni, after recovering from a broken hand in the spring, competed against 22 divers in the AAU Nationals Group A Boys platform and won first place with a score of 380.2.

As a junior representing Colquitt County High, Geovanni placed fifth in the 2018 GHSA 6-7A boys 1-meter (491.2). He came in fourth as a sophomore (497.75).

Also this year, he was third at the YMCA Nationals 16-21 boys platform (442.7) and fifth in the 3-meter (469.05).

Geovanni’s also done synchronized diving at the 2017 USA Nationals placing sixth.
