MOULTRIE, Ga. — On Sept. 6, Stringfellow Elementary School hosted its first Title 1 meeting and Family Literacy Night.

Principal Brian Knighton presented information to parents about Title 1 and then families were able to visit classrooms for presentations. Information points were set up for parents and children to visit.

Each child was given a book for their home library. The Moultrie-Colquitt County Library System partnered with Michele Croft in the Media Center to provide parents the opportunity to sign their children up for a public library card on-site.

Classrooms featured a variety of literacy activities to include Fry Words, understanding Lexile scores, and the use of comprehension strategies.
