ADEL, Ga. — Three people were killed in a wreck Saturday afternoon in Cook County, according to a state trooper.

The county’s 911 center received a call at 12:19 p.m. about a two-vehicle wreck on Antioch Road near Bluebird Lane, said Trooper First Class Stephen Pritchett of Georgia State Patrol Post 13 in Tifton.

Details of what exactly happened were still being investigated late Saturday, but Pritchett said it involved a Ford F-150 driven by William Hinson, 39, and a Chevy Silverado driven by Edgar Walker, 64. Walker’s wife Patricia, 67, was in the Silverado with him, the trooper said.

Hinson and the Walkers were all killed in the accident, Pritchett said.

Apart from the state patrol, fire departments from Sparks, Adel and Cook County responded, as did Adel police and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the trooper said.
