MOULTRIE – A presumed female prank caller to a Moultrie restaurant apparently has a lot of stamina, keeping early morning calls going for more than a month and usually more than once a day.

An employee at Huddle House, 401 Veterans Parkway S., reported Sunday that the calls began on Aug. 1. The calls generally come some time between midnight and 5 a.m. Describing the calls, the employee said workers “can hear what sounds like the female engaging in sexual intercourse” and that a man can be heard in the background.

The calls have come from various numbers, and the phone number from which they originate is not always available.

When an employee asks the caller if she wishes to speak with a law enforcement who is present, the caller promptly hangs up.

Police made a call to the number from which the 4:28 a.m. Sunday call was made but only got the voice mail of a female. An officer suggested that the employee try to call and notify the caller to stop ringing or have the phone company block the known numbers from which calls have been made.
