Church anniversary

St. James Freewill Baptist Church will celebrate its 118th church anniversary at 7 p.m. Sept. 10-14 and conclude at 3 p.m. Sept. 16 with Pastor Pernell Adams and New Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Barney.

Called meeting

The Spence Field Committee of the Moultrie City Council will hold a called meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in the Sunshine Conference Room to discuss possible lease of the Southern Tire Building.

This meeting will immediately precede a called meeting of the whole council to discuss budget issues at 5 p.m.
