MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Janet Sheldon, executive director of Colquitt County Family Connection, left, recently attended the Second Annual Governor’s Summit for Early Language and Literacy, held at Georgia College in Milledgeville. Gov. and Mrs. Nathan Deal were present both days and spoke about the importance of literacy and how it affects social and economic growth in the state. One of the featured speakers was author and football star Malcom Mitchell.
