$1K worth of items reported stolen in burglary

TIFTON, Ga. — A home burglary resulted in more than $1,000 worth of stolen items, according to a Tifton Police Department report.
The burglary happened in the 1600 block of Central Avenue North between the evening of Aug. 16 and the afternoon of Aug. 17.
Responding at 7:18 p.m. on Aug. 17, TPD officers met with a resident who said his house was robbed while he was in the hospital, according to the report.
One of the doors of the home had a lock tampered with as well as wood pried off the door frame, the report states.
The resident reported a number of stolen items, including televisions, computers and video game systems, according to the report.
The total value of the stolen items was $1,037, the report states.
