Authorities talked with 28-year-old Jason Arsenio Haynes on Tuesday after identifying his girlfriend’s car as the vehicle used in Saturday’s burglary, the report states.

Haynes allegedly admitted to driving the other three suspects to the victim’s residence where two entered the house and stole the safe, a Crown Royal bag containing $100 in loose change and the bracelet, according to the report.

The report states Haynes also admitted to receiving at least $1,200 for his role in the burglary and that a portion of the money was in the dresser at his house but would not consent to a search and was then arrested late Tuesday afternoon at RIVEROAK Technical College.

After obtaining a search warrant, authorities found $1,120 in the dresser as well as a large clear bag containing change and two clear baggies in the same dresser drawer that contained cocaine in both power and rock form, the report states.

According to the report, the bag of powder cocaine weighed 1.4 grams and the crack cocaine bag weight 4.3 grams.

The other three suspects — 29-year-old Albert Larry Jelks, 27-year-old Kwone Levelle Matthews and 31-year-old Roderick Livingston were arrested Wednesday morning.

According to another SCSO report, Jelks broke into the safe while riding in the car following the burglary and handed everyone money from the safe.

All the suspects were charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling unarmed and larceny – grand theft. Haynes was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
