The collision occurred at about 2:50 p.m., according to the Moultrie Police Department.

Harrell was driving south on South Main Street at the time when his motorcycle struck the side of a Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Erica Nimmons, 32, of Moultrie was driving north on South Main Street.

Nimmons, who was turning left onto Fifth Avenue, told police that she thought the driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle also was turning left.

As she was making the left turn the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Chrysler.

Nimmons was cited for failure to yield while turning left, police said. She was not injured.

Harrell remained at Archbold Memorial Hospital, where a hospital spokeswoman said his condition was serious.
