The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority will hold a called meeting at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at the Rec Office to hear from a consultant on pool repair options.

Church anniversary

Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Eighth St. N.W., will celebrate its 81st church anniversary. Theme for the occasion will be “This, the Year of Destiny — To Move to Perfection in Christ Jesus.” Services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, Aug. 13-15, and will conclude at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19. Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. J.W. Greene Jr. is pastor.

Country Jamboree

The Staggerwing Country Jamboree is every Friday night at 7 p.m. at Spence Field in Maule Pilot lounge at the lake hangar. It offers round and line dancing and the music is provided by new band leader Luke Folsom and by other specials. Admission is free and there is no drinking.
