VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University is proud to offer scholarships to 103 currently enrolled, incoming first-year, and transfer students for the 2018-2019 academic year. These scholarships were established by private donors and are awarded each year by VSU Foundation Inc. to students with excellent academic achievement and/or students with financial need. Each recipient represents the high standards of the university. This list includes the following:
• Ivan Martinez of Moultrie earned the Georgia Gulf Sulfer Scholarship.
• Chase Perry of Moultrie earned the Hugh C. Bailey Family Scholarship.
• Karen Ramirez Rubio of Moultrie earned the General Scholarship Fund Scholarship.

STATESBORO, Ga. — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 1,400 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2018 President’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
Students named to the list for excellence in academics include:

• Haley Everson of Moultrie.
• Cory Glow of Moultrie.
• Tracer Parrish of Pavo.

Dean’s List
STATESBORO, Ga. — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 2,900 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2018 Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
