Authority to meet

The South Georgia Governmental Services Authority will hold its regular meeting at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, in the City of Thomasville Mayors Conference Room, 111 Victoria Place in Thomasville.

The meeting is open to the public.

Veterans bus

The South Georgia Veterans Activities Committee is seeking volunteer drivers for the veterans bus to Lake City, Fla., on Thursdays. Drivers must have a Commercial Driver’s License. If interested, call Jimmy Revels at (229) 526-8140.

Free assistance

Insurance Commissioner, Ralph Hudgens offers assistance to Georgia residents with insurance problems or questions throughout the State of Georgia.

Men’s choir

The Colquitt County Men’s Choir meets at 7 p.m., on Mondays, in the choir room at First Baptist Church.

The choir is open to men ages 16 years and up.
