MOULTRIE, Ga. — If an intruder at a Riggins Road house was Goldilocks, she or he was cooking the porridge with an unusual mixture of ingredients — including rubbing alcohol, lighter fluid and unknown substances.
At about 3 p.m. Monday Thomasville resident Jonathan Stallings reported finding those items on the counter when he arrived at the house in the 200 block of Riggins Road.
After walking inside Stallings noticed that the stove light was on and there was a pot on it. He then saw that there were some things on the counter top and beer cans in the sink of the kitchen.
The items on the counter were rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, lighter fluid, two measuring cups and two bottles “with (a) clear substance in it,” police said.
Stallings told police that when he arrived at the house he heard a four-wheeler being driven away.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office reports did not indicate what was being whipped up on the stove.
In another reported burglary The Carriage House, 704 Third St. S.W., reported the theft of property valued at $8. And Kerri Bullard, 1400 block Ninth Street Southwest, reported the theft of property valued at $1,200.
