Archway planning meeting

Local governments will hold a joint Archway Planning Meeting at 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, in the Southwest Georgia Bank Training Room, 205 Second St. S.E.

The meeting is to discuss community trends and issues.

Blood drive

A back-to-school blood drive will be held noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the Moultrie Walmart, 641 Veterans Parkway S.E.

Humane Society relies on the charity of the community

The drive is sponsored by OneBlood, the blood center that serves Colquitt Regional Medical Center and other facilities in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.

Donors will receive a $10 Walmart gift card.
