Sheriff’s office seeks stolen puppy

ADEL — The Cook County Sheriff’s Office asks the public’s help in finding a stolen puppy.

Sometime before lunchtime Monday, someone entered a home in the 2500 block of Greggs Road in Adel and took a number of items, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Among the items taken in the burglary was a 6-week-old brown and white English cocker spaniel puppy, the statement says.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone who may know about someone possessing a dog matching this description under suspicious circumstances to contact the Criminal Investigations Division, (229) 896-7471 or their local law enforcement agency.
