Woman suffers minor injuries when truck rolls

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A convenience store employee knocked to the ground Tuesday while trying to get control of a truck in the parking lot reportedly was back at work on Wednesday.
Nellie Bailey, 66, was trying to assist the driver of the truck, who appeared to be having a medical issue.
Bailey told police later at the hospital that she saw Donald Carey was having difficulty. When she went to check on him he told her that he had dropped his medication in the truck.
As Bailey was trying to help find the medication, she reported, the truck began rolling while the door was open. As the truck rolled backward the door struck Bailey, knocking her to the ground.
The truck did not run over Bailey, but she reportedly hit her head hard on the pavement and she was in pain. Paramedics took her to Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A witness who was pumping gas at the time of the incident told police that after she saw Bailey fall she dragged her out of the path of the truck. Another man and woman ran to the truck and tried to stop its motion.
